Prof. Jaak Janssens

Vaccination against breast cancer

Prof. Jaak Ph. Janssens MD, PhD was born on April 19, 1952. He is oncologist, graduated in June 1983 at the University of Leuven, Belgium and molecular biologist in June 1985 at the University of Leuven, Belgium. His main topic of research is breast cancer prevention and introduction of molecular biology into oncology practice.

He wrote over 200 international PEER-reviewed scientific papers and owns several patents. He runs Bioncise, a company that supports molecular biology in oncology practice. His oncology practice is run in conjunction with academic teaching in the University of Hasselt and Maastricht. He is president of the European Cancer Prevention organization and Editor of the European Journal of Cancer Prevention. He is member of several international oncology societies.
