Belgium is the world champion in breast cancer

Nowhere else in the world do more women get breast cancer than in Belgium, relatively speaking. Searching for reliable information is difficult at such a time. "You often don't have the energy for it. We hope this book can provide answers to the many questions and concerns of those affected. That's why we have compiled the most relevant articles, research, and stories about prevention, diagnosis, and treatment," says Think Pink chairman Heidi Vansevenant.

Honest, pure, and sometimes painful

Patients share their experiences through moving personal stories, while doctors provide their expertise: how to preserve your pride and sense of beauty, how the body changes after treatments, how to regain strength, how to manage the psychological impact, and how loved ones can offer their support.

“Sincere, authentic, and at times difficult, this book reflects lived realities, but also positive perspectives. Because yes, there is life during and after cancer. It may be different, but it remains full of possibilities, richness, and hope, Falling ill can teach you things or even open the door to new horizons." adds Heidi Vansevenant.

Free in every Think Pink box

"We want our information to reach as many people affected as possible, right from the start of their journey. That's why the book is included in our Think Pink box. We distribute these boxes for free to all recognized breast clinics in our country. They can then give them to anyone who receives a diagnosis," concludes Vansevenant.

The Think Book is published by Borgerhoff & Lamberigts and costs €24.99. The book is available at Standaard Boekhandel, a number of independent bookshops, and in our webshop.
